Everywhere, there're only people... The cars are loud; the trains, rocking back and forth. The city full of grey boxes... the scraped sky, it's not blue anymore. I was born in this kind of city. I lived in this kind of city. There are only people. There are only loud noises. Sometimes its hard to take a breath. That's why... I wanted to do something more interesting... In a world where electronics are at their highest, there exists a mysterious invading force known only as the Invaders. Dark and mechanical, even the lowest Invaders carry enough destructive force to flatten a city in seconds. 32 years ago, when the Invaders were at their strongest, the AEGIS Network was founded. Disbanded and empty, the old AEGIS building remains mostly unused -- except for one young girl.
Ayane Isuzu. The daughter of one of the Master Gatekeepers, she uses her mother's maiden name Isuzu. Although human life does not affect her, the loss of innocent animals and plants does. She stands alone until she discovers Manazuru Miu, a loud preppy high school student, who can control the Jump Gate. She encounters many others who can open the gates, but there is a disturbingly sharp rise in Invader activity. If there's a threat of invasion, will Ayane Isuzu and her rag tag team of Gatekeepers be able to defeat them and save Earth?
Miu continues to shun the AEGIS Network because she hates the idea of hurting people, but Satoka, a Gate Keeper Kageyama recruited from Kobe seems to be the opposite - she hunts them for pleasure! Unfortunately, the Invaders don?t allow the Gate Keepers the luxury of time for debate: Ayane is ambushed and goes into a coma, Count Akuma returns, stronger than ever, and Ghost Girl can?t wait to turn everyone into Invaders? but why does Ghost Girl have a soft spot for Ayane?!
